Our History

In 1976, Allianz Egypt started as a shareholder in Arab International Insurance Company (AIIC) – the first private, Free Zone registered, joint venture insurance company. In 2000, Allianz increased its ownership of AIIC to 85%

In 2001, AIIC, by then a subsidiary of Allianz Group extended its activities from the Free Zone to the entire Egyptian territory, launching a variety of products for the commercial and personal sector of the market. Allianz Egypt commenced operations of a Life insurance company; Arab International sister company "Arab International Life Assurance Company".

After re-branding in 2004, Arab International companies are registered under their current trade names: “Allianz Life Assurance Company – Egypt” and “Allianz Insurance Company – Egypt”.

Today Allianz Egypt is represented in various Branches and Sales and Service Centers, among them New Cairo, Maadi, Nasr City, Dokki, Alexandria, Port Said, Assuit, Mansoura, Tanta, Damanhour, Menia, Sohag and Luxor

With Bancassurance, you receive on-the-spot advice from our qualified specialists whilst you conduct your banking needs. Adding to your convenience and peace of mind, premium installments for your insurance plans can be debited directly from your bank account or credit card.

Recognizing the need for alternative channels of distribution, Allianz Egypt is now partnering with forerunners in the field to deliver the best Allianz has to offer in the world of insurance. Through the affinity channel, Allianz products have a greater chance of reaching those who need them the most. Travelers can easily obtain Allianz travel policies through any of our partner travel agencies. Allianz products are also offered at two points of sales in Clubs. By utilizing new channels Allianz Egypt aims at becoming a market leader in the Business-to-Business-to-Customer (B2B2C) approach.

A group of brokerage companies, licensed in EFSA, that are selected by Allianz Egypt based on qualitative and quantitative criteria to insure ultimate customer service levels and potential co-operation on all business fronts.
