Governance Lead
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop harmonious framework for the Governance program with all relevant stakeholders and business owners, through developing processes to ensure that all the Group Governance aspects are fully in place, monitored and effectively implemented.
- Manages the Governance program and completes the annual cycle of the governance management framework in-line with Group Center minimum standards. Including all the policies and mandates with other stakeholders and properly ensuring the localization through the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring the effectiveness of implementing all the Governance-related topics, policies and mandates, through conducting periodic and ad-hoc risk assessments all over the Company.
- Critically support in the Risk & Audit committee meeting preparations, and liaise with the business to consolidate, review and submit the needed documentation and content to ensure quality of material submitted and follow up where clarity or repositioning is required.
- Keeping up to date with changes in Governance instructions and guidelines, and responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements log for all the existing and new relevant laws and regulations (whenever needed).
- Responsible for identifying, raising, and appropriately escalating the ineffective implemented matters and governance topics.
- Provides on-going support to the ExCom and relevant stakeholders in the Governance matters, and audits, and supports the Business owners in providing feedback on any topic related to Governance inquiries.
Job Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree required.
- Fluent in Arabic and English language.
- 5 - 10 years of experience.
- 3 - 4 years minimum experience as Governance or control function officer."
- Background in the financial services industry is of advantage
- Post studies are preferred.
- Risk Analysis skills
- Understanding of corporate governance & regulatory requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of insurance products
- Investment and financial Knowledge
