Unit Manager - Corporate Operations “Pricing”

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of group life and pension offers in addition to exploring any opportunity for enhancements
  • Ensure that the company achieves the target bottom line while giving the support to achieve the company's sales targets
  • Modelling and/or analysis of performance for the group life LOB with high ambiguity and complexity with sound understanding of the challenges and considering trends, circumstances and external information to help the management make key decisions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and ensure effective technical support to the employee benefits team to assist in the achievement of their targets by adequate pricing, and joint visits to the clients/brokers to be acquainted with the market dynamics.
  • Provides guidance to direct reports and ensures that the Company goals are cascaded to them and enhancing the pricing processes to make the most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market changes
  • Establish a set of regular performance and planning reports which include but is not limited to production figures, bottom line contribution and expense management. In addition to reinsurance reports and statistics along with communication with reinsurers.
  • Fundamentally redesign existing tools or tool chains (if necessary, with support from IT experts) and creating new efficient tools fit for purpose from scratch for new challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • More than 5 years of experience in working in a related function
  • University degree
  • Long experience on the job in the group life pricing field
  • LOMA or CII is a plus
  • More than 5 years of experience in working in a related function
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and lead projects and/or designing pricing tools
  • Several years in respective areas (Operations, Pricing)
